HowTo wlog

De Estigmergia

Wiki+Blog=Wlog: this is not a wiki, neither a blog, or maybe is both things. Here I list some of the extensions (and its developers) used for giving MediaWiki some functionalities (and the appearance) of a blog. The reason? The main one is having it all in a same tool (that's good) though the majority of blogging automatic features become quite "manual" (which could be not that good).

Given that the system of publishing is very handmade (every month you have to create a new category, for example), it may have some interesting features like the possibility of modifying comments after sending them (why not?, one may change his mind or need to be more precise after pressing the 'send' button), or that it could be radically multi-user (and maybe strengthening openness and collaboration, much more than tools like WordPress MU). Basic functions like publishing, getting the feeds, commenting, archiving may be more automatized in the future if (also other) extensions evolve.
